Who We Are
Quartis Capital Partners B.V. is a representative office for 28 family trusts and high net worth individuals. The collective worth of our portfolio of clients is in excess of $30 billion. We have built the portfolio from an initial group of five, starting in the late nineties. The portfolio has been built built by personal referrals from within the group, from advisors and colleagues within the legal, accounting and banking professions.
Our client group has a hands-on approach to investing, often looking for an alternative to the service offerings of the wealth management industry for at least part of their holdings. We work through a network of regional associates who present us with investment opportunities, those typically which can support debt financing.
Our Origins
Quartis Capital Partners B.V. and its predecessors began in the late nineties advising a group of five multi-generational families on an informal basis. We have built the portfolio to date and represent 28 families. The collective worth of our portfolio of clients is now in excess of $30 billion.
Quartis Capital Partners B.V. has developed a high level network based on trust, confidentiality and the professional service provided to the Trusts through correspondent relationships in North America, Canada, London, Singapore, Sydney, Monaco and South America.
Private Investment Banking
Private Investment Banking gives ultra-high net worth families access to high quality, low risk investments and gives entrepreneurs and businesses access to capital on terms tailored to suit the cash flow needs of the enterprise, without the heavy transaction analysis and execution costs of the traditional banking industry.
The larger, publicly traded international investment banks have investment criteria which change according to investment fashion and the need to generate fee income to support overheads and dividends. They are also subject to the internal sell-side needs of their institutions.
Private Investment Banking cuts through all of this, and allows investors with the acumen direct access to our-of-cycle opportunities which, in the long run, can provide enhanced returns.
Our Hallmark
Our hallmark is confidentiality. Without it, our practice would not exist. Our clients value us for this above all. For this reason, tombstone data is limited to the size of the transaction, the industry sector and the geographic region of the investee.
Our Process
We want you to be comfortable with our process. We structure transactions to protect the interests of investors we represent while respecting the commercial confidentiality of borrowers and investees. As a result, certain project-specific information will not be available for distribution. Similarly, for reasons of commercial confidentiality, borrowers and investees identities are generally not disclosed.
Our Principal
Harry de Gooyer is a financial/operating executive with over 25 years of broad business experience in acquisitions, corporate finance, business and strategic development, investment banking and restructuring. He has sourced, negotiated and structured numerous complex transactions including multi-jurisdictional financings, strategic acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring and he has raised significant capital in various industry sectors.
